Wedding Rings Made Unique
Come and make your forever wedding rings with a one or two night stay with me at my home in the delightful old village of Taddiport in North Devon.
You will have exclusive use of my fully equipped jewellery workshop on site.
No prior knowledge of jewellery making is required. I will take you through this special day step by step.
Exclusive Workshop Experience
I have been working with precious metals as a professional jeweller for the past 17 years.
I am the leading ethical jeweller in the south west and one of the first jewellers in the world to become certified fair trade/fairmind in 2011.
The Workshop Package
- A one day workshop from 11-4pm where you will make your own/or each other’s wedding bands or commitment rings in your chosen precious metal. Including:
- Learning new skills with full guidance and demonstrations throughout the day;
- Workshop photographs for you to take away;
- Refreshments of tea or coffee and biscuits throughout the day;
- Light lunch or a romantic picnic down by the river (weather permitting);
- Your Stay:
- 1-2 night stay in an en suite king size bedroom
- Free WIFI, Netflix, tea and coffee facilities, fresh towels and soap
- Free onsite parking
- Evening meals, not included, but why not visit the local Torridge Inn

Your Recycled or Fairtrade Gold
The costs for gold bands varies depending on the market, sizing, style, width of band and carat. If you would like gold bands, a final price for your stay can be agreed when booking.
The final gold price includes Hallmarking at the London Assay Office and insured postage to your chosen address.
Fairtrade Gold
Fairtrade gold will cost approximately 16% more on the cost of the gold and will be stamped with the Fairtrade logo inside the ring along with the other hallmarks.
Your Recycled Gold
You are welcome to bring your own family gold which can be melted and formed into a usable shape to make a band. This creates a memory of your loved ones.
I can provide a guide on the weight of gold required for your chosen style of ring. To melt existing gold there will be an extra £50 per couple. If your require additional gold, this can be supplied at additional cost and quoted at the time of booking.

Other Precious Metals
Some precious metals such as Platinum and Palladium can be very difficult to work with so I would use the casting process.
If you choose the ‘Silver Workshop Experience’ the silver rings you make on the day can be sent off to a casting company where your rings will be cast to exactly how you made the silver rings. The cost of casting is an extra £125 per ring, plus the cost of the precious metal and hallmarking. You will be returned the original silver rings you made at the workshop.

More about your stay
Situated in beautiful North Devon, Taddiport is a 20 minute car journey to the stunning North Devon coast. The beaches offer golden sands ideal for surfers, bathers or walkers.
Within a 20 minute walk of your stay, you can hire bikes at Torrington and cycle along the Tarka Trail.
While staying I would recommend you visit the quaint village of Appledore or the smugglers paradise of Clovelly.
The beautiful RHS garden Rosemoor is a short 5 minute drive and definitely worth a visit.
Something more local? A short 20 minute walk along the river from Taddiport, will take you to the puffing Billy café, for light lunches, breakfast or just tea and coffee.
Finish your day at the local pub the ‘Torridge Inn’ in the village serving great Tia Food. Booking is a must.
